The elegent Georgian City of Bath was once an important Roman settlement. It is particularly attractive with its Georgian Houses and other architectural features made of mellow cotswold stone. The city's Roman Bath's is a popular tourist attraction. They are considered to the be the best preserved in the whole of England. Bath Abbey was founded in 1499 by Bishop JKIng and wass built in the Perpendicular style. It was altered in the 17th and 20th centuries. Bath has a good selection of shops. It can be vey busy during summer months and parking can be a problem.
